From Chester & Wrexham proceed to Llangollen via the A483 Wrexham bypass and where the road forks, keep left following the signs for Llangollen.

On reaching Llangollen, turn left over the bridge (checking to see whether the steam train is in the station) and proceed up the high street to the traffic lights at the top.

At these lights turn right onto the A5 and continue for about 8.5 miles,passing through the villages of Glyndyfrdwy and Llidiart-y-parc, where Powys Country House (Plas y Dyfrdwy) will be found on the right hand side.

From Oswestry, follow the signs for Llangollen (A5), pass through Llangollen and, as above, remaining on the A5 continue for about 8.5 miles, passing through the villages of Glyndyfrdwy and Llidiart-y-parc, after which you will find Powys Country House (Plas y Dyfrdwy) on the right hand side.

Please note: When travelling towards the location from Llangollen via SAT NAV you will be told to turn left after the above image. Please ignore this and continue 50yds where you will see the drive way on the right.
